I had the great fortune of being born on the island of Maui. I spent ten years on the east coast where I earned my Masters of Divinity from Harvard University.  It was through the labor and birth of my first son born in 2000 that I first recognized the transformative power of birth. I am certified as a doula through the Association of Labor Assistants and Childbirth Educators and am also a Certified Lactation Counselor.  I  have received advanced training as a Certified Birthing From Within Mentor from its founder, Pam England.  I also serve as an advisor in the Birthing From Within program, guiding and helping other mentors serve parents and work towards certification.  I love supporting parents on their journey towards becoming confident and excited about giving birth and becoming parents.
